| | I was in the middle of typing a paper, well, its actually 7/8 finished, but whatever... and I saw the cutest/ most inspiring thing on the television. The weirdest movie is playing, basically this kid watches his whole neighborhood all day everyday from his neighbor's lawn. One of the houses and gentleman he was watching seemed to be on the creepy, may have killed his family type, as he was doing a lot of late night heavy bag removal, and seemed to be cautious and go undetected. Of course there's a point in the movie (albeit this is no where near the central issue in the movie) when the kid and the girl he's pursuing finally go up to the guys house to enter and look inside at the horrors within! They of course get stopped at the door when the owner walks up to them from behind. Casually says, I'll bet you'd like to see what I've been doing in there. As they try to run, he nudges them inside the door and they fall into a pool. Mind you, this was the front door. The man had been digging a pool in his living room, and trying his best to replicate Tahiti for his wife. That was the destination of their the second honeymoon before she had fallen ill and was then confined to a wheel chair. It struck me, because I've realized that is the type of man I strive to embody. Make the best of the situation, but not only that, take it as far as I could and work hard to do my best at making my future family happy. Even if that means tearing up my living room. Well back to work for now. I guess I have some things to write about soonish. |
